One of the most commonly asked questions I get is: how exactly does your Hypnotherapy work? So I thought I’d answer that question here – and explain why it’s so effective + how I use it in an integrative and structured way.


By integrating modern hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and mindfulness, we work together to reshape the way you think, feel, and act. This powerful combination ensures that you build true resilience, allowing you to stay committed to change and see real, measurable results.

Each session follows a structured process, helping you gain clarity, practice new skills, and reinforce change at a deep level.


Here’s how it works:

Session 1: The Insight Session

We start by exploring what you’re struggling with, when it began, and what’s keeping it in place.

💡 Example: If you struggle with social anxiety, we explore situations that trigger it and identify the underlying thoughts and fears... The first step is always to help you feel calmer and more positive about the problem. You’ll also learn a simple but powerful relaxation skill to use daily.

Session 2: Defining How You Want to Feel

Now we shift from focusing on the problem to focusing on the change you want to make. We clarify how you want to think, feel, and act and create a personalised plan to get there.

💡 Example: You might want to feel at ease in social situations, enjoy conversations without overthinking, and trust yourself to handle interactions naturally... With hypnosis, we strengthen these new feelings, helping your mind focus deeply on these changes. You’ll also receive a recording to listen to between sessions.

Session 3: changing Unhelpful Thought Patterns

Our thoughts shape our emotions and behaviour. In this session, we identify cognitive distortions—automatic, negative thought patterns that keep you stuck—and replace them with more helpful perspectives.

💡 Example: If you often think, "Everyone is judging me," we work on replacing that with, "People are focused on themselves, and I bring value to conversations... Under hypnosis, we reinforce these new ways of thinking, making them feel more natural. You’ll receive another recording to continue strengthening the shift.

Session 4: Confident Actions & Relapse Prevention

The final step is taking action. We focus on how you want to behave in real-life situations and mentally rehearse these behaviours under hypnosis.

💡 Example: You practice feeling calm and composed at social events, making eye contact, and speaking confidently.
We also identify potential relapse triggers and develop a plan to keep you on track, so you can maintain your progress long after our sessions have ended.

Pricing & Flexibility

The full four-session hypnotherapy plan is R6940, paid upfront. However, you also have the option to pay per session. If you’re unsure, you can start with an Insight Session and decide if you’d like to continue—the process is flexible to suit your needs.

Hypnotherapy works fast and efficiently, but it’s not a magic wand. The real transformation happens when you show up for the sessions with intention, practice the skills, and commit to daily listening and exercises.
